Lotteries are well established in Venezuela. There are both instant and draw lotteries available at over 3,000 points of sale throughout the country and on mobile phones.

The oldest lottery in the country, established in 1926, is the Lotería del Táchira. Other major lotteries in Venezuela are the Oriente Lottery, the Caracas Lottery and the Zulia lottery. Proceeds go toward supporting the Beneficencia Pública y Bienestar Social del Estado Táchira (Public Charity and Social Welfare of the State of Táchira). All lotteries are overseen by the Comisión Nacional de Lotería.
